Oregon Road Brownfield

Beginning in the fall of 2020, cleanup work began on the Oregon Road Brownfield Cleanup Program site in North Olean. The project involves taking soil that has been contaminated from the old refinery and oil tanks and placing a new cover system on the lot. By projects end, there will have been over 30,000 tons of contaminated soil taken off of the site, and 70,000 tons of fresh material put down in its place.
